Liberally coat the ribs with barbecue sauce. Place the pan in the oven and turn on the broiler for approximately three minutes, or until the sauce begins to boil. This isn’t a required step but will definitely make it easier when it comes time to wash the pan.

Do not fully submerge the ribs. It will take around 2 to 2.5 hours for a small rack or ribs. Line a sheet tray with foil.
Stir The Sauce Over Medium Heat Until Simmering.
Mix all spices together in a small bowl. Combine spice rub ingredients in a small bowl (or use your own spice rub). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
Set The Oven To Broil.
The exact amount of time it needs to cook depends a great deal on the size of the rack of ribs you’re cooking. Brush half the sauce over the racks, covering the tops and sides. Preheat the smoker to 225 degrees.
Place Ribs On Baking Sheet.
Bake in the oven for 2 1/2 to 3 hours until tender. Remove the membrane from the backside of the ribs if it’s still attached. Mix the rub and sprinkle ¼ of it on the bottom.
